Omri Casspi scored eight points in 16 minutes off the bench for the Golden State Warriors (32-8) on Saturday in their 121-105 win over the host LA Clippers, going 2-6 in field goal attempts and 4-for-4 at the free throw line. He also had three rebounds, one assist, and three turnovers, “leading” the team with a +/- rating of -13.. Casspi had missed the previous game with a rib injury. The Warrior host the Denver Nuggets tonight.
Jason Demers 10th assist of the year tied the game between the Arizona Coyotes (10-27-6, last in the Western Conference) and visiting Nashville Predators at 2-2 in the third period on Friday. The Coyotes won in OT, 3-2. Demers had two shots on goal in 21:26 of ice time.
Zach Hyman contributed his 15th goal of the season Toronto Maple Leafs (25-16-2) beat the visiting Vancouver Canucks in a shootout, 3-2, on Saturday. That one put the Leafs on the board, trailing 2-0 in the third period. Hyman took one shot on goal in 18:51.
Brandon Leipsic took one shot on goal in 13:13 as the Vegas Golden Knights (29-10-2) won their ninth game in their last 10 games, 5-4, over the visiting Chicago Blackhawks on Friday. He had 9;19 time on ice in Sunday’s 2-1 win over the visiting NY Rangers.
Jason Zucker assisted on both goals for the Minnesota Wild (22-17-3) in their 7-2 loss to the host Colorado Avalanche on Saturday. That gave him 15 on the season to match his 15 goals. He took one SOG in 15:57.
Michael Cammalleri took three SOG in 13:52 as the Edmonton Oilers (18-20-3) fell 5-1 to the host Dallas Stars on Saturday. He added his 10th assist on Sunday in a 4-1 loss to the host Blackhawks. Cams took two SOG in 14:27. The Oilers are 18-22-3.
