QB Josh Rosen tossed two fourth-quarter touchdown passes to lead the Arizona Cardinals (2-6, third, NFC West) to an 18-15 win over the visiting San Francisco 49ers. The rookie QB had his best game to date, completing 23 of 40 passes for 252 yards (one interception). He also rushed for 12 yards in two attempts.
Mitchell Schwartz appeared on all of the KC Chiefs’ 58 offensive plays plus another five (17 percent) on special teams in a 30-23 win over the visiting Denver Broncos. The Chiefs are 7-1 to lead the AFC West.
Ali Marpet appeared on all 88 offensive plays plus another five (15 percent) on ST for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-4, T-3 NFC South) in an agonizing 37-34 loss to the host Cincinnati Bengals. The Bucs scored 18 points in the fourth quarter but could not overcome a 27-9 halftime deficit.
Kicker Greg Joseph hit on field goals of 34 and 45 yards (and missed one from 41) but it didn’t make much of a difference as his Cleveland Browns (2-5, fourth, AFC North) lost to the host Pittsburgh Steelers, 33-18. Safety Jordan Dangerfield appeared on four defensive plays (6 percent) and another 20 (67 percent) on ST for the Steelers (4-2-1, first AFC North).
In the Monday Night Football contest, Nate Ebner appeared on 22 special teams plays (79 percent) as the New England Patriots (6-2, first, AFC East) scored two touchdowns in the fourth to seal the deal, 25-6, over the host Buffalo Bills. Ebner appeared to recover fumble on a kick-off but the play was reserved on review.
